Photography in Hyderabad
Chandeliers, silk and gold, the quiet before the muhurtham. We know every ritual, stay out of the way, and keep the moments nobody thought to pose for.
HydSharpFocus is a Hyderabad wedding photography and films studio. For 11 years we have covered Telugu, Muslim and Christian weddings across the city — candid photography, traditional coverage and a cinematic film, shot by one team on the same day and delivered together as photos, a highlight film and a printed album.
What you are actually booking
Most studios sell you a package name. It is more useful to know what will happen in the room. On a HydSharpFocus wedding you get three kinds of coverage running at once, planned as one shoot rather than three crews working around each other.
Candid photography
The unposed half of the day — your mother fixing your saree pleats, the friend who cries at the muhurtham, the uncle asleep after lunch. Shot close, without direction.
Traditional coverage
The photographs your family will ask for: ritual shots taken correctly and in order, group portraits with every relative named and placed, and the formal couple portraits that go in the album.
Cinematic wedding film
A highlight film cut to the day’s own sound — the vows, the mangalsutra, the Nikah, the speeches — plus longer ceremony edits if you want the full record.
How we work, from enquiry to album
- Tell us the date. Call or WhatsApp with your wedding date and the functions you are planning. We confirm availability the same day.
- Meet us. Before you pay anything, meet the person who will actually shoot your wedding. Ask to see one full wedding, start to finish — not a highlights reel.
- Block the date. A booking amount holds your date. Coverage, team size, deliverables and the delivery date are written down before you pay.
- Plan the day. Two to three weeks out we go through the schedule hour by hour: muhurtham time, venue, lighting, the people who must be photographed, the shots your family expects.
- The wedding. Photo and film teams work to one plan, so nobody misses the muhurtham because another camera is still setting up.
- Selection and delivery. You get a gallery to choose album images from. Edited photos, the highlight film and the printed album arrive on the date agreed in writing.
Packages and pricing
Wedding pricing in Hyderabad moves with the number of functions, the size of the team, whether you want a film, and how much album work you order. Rather than publish a fixed menu that fits nobody, here is the honest shape of it.
From ₹1,25,000
Candid and traditional photography plus a films crew for a single wedding day, edited photographs, a highlight film and a printed album. The exact figure depends on team size and album specification.
What moves the price up
- More functions — haldi, mehendi, sangeet, reception and the wedding day each need their own crew hours.
- Two venues, or bride-side and groom-side coverage running at the same time.
- A 4 a.m. muhurtham, which needs lighting brought in and a crew on site by 2 a.m.
- Longer films: full ceremony edits, a teaser for social media, drone work where the venue permits it.
- Album size, paper and number of spreads; extra parent copies.
- Destination weddings outside Hyderabad — travel and stay for the crew.
What is always included
- A written scope: functions covered, hours, team size, deliverables and delivery date.
- Backup cameras and duplicate cards on the day. Files copied to two drives before the crew leaves the venue.
- A selection gallery so your family chooses the album images, not us.
Peak season — roughly November to February, plus the summer muhurtham dates — books out first. Six to nine months ahead is comfortable.
Where we shoot in Hyderabad
Eleven years in one city means knowing rooms before we walk into them: which function halls have ceilings too high to bounce light off, which farmhouse lawns lose the sun by 5:30, which hotel ballrooms need permission for a second light stand.
- Farmhouses on the Shankarpally, Moinabad and Chevella roads — open lawns, good evening light, almost no ambient light after dark.
- Function halls in Kukatpally, Nizampet, Miyapur, Uppal and Malkajgiri — the majority of Telugu weddings we cover.
- Hotels and convention centres around Hitec City, Gachibowli, Banjara Hills and Begumpet.
- Old City venues for Nikah and valima functions, where coverage is planned around the family’s privacy terms.

Frequently asked questions
How much does wedding photography cost in Hyderabad?
Our one-day wedding coverage with photography and film starts at ₹1,25,000. Multi-day weddings, two-venue coverage, larger films and bigger albums cost more. We quote against your actual schedule rather than a fixed package list.
How early should we book?
Peak Hyderabad wedding season — roughly November to February, and the summer muhurtham dates — books out first. Six to nine months ahead is comfortable; talk to us earlier if your date falls in that window.
Do you cover a 4 a.m. muhurtham?
Regularly. It is the hardest hour of a Telugu wedding to shoot: no ambient light, a crowded mandapam and rituals that do not wait. We bring our own lighting and are on site well before the crew you booked would normally arrive.
How long until we get our photos and film?
Timelines depend on the number of functions and whether you have booked an album or a film. We give you a clear delivery date in writing before the wedding, and we meet it.
Do you travel outside Hyderabad?
Yes. We regularly shoot destination weddings elsewhere in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and across India. Travel and stay for the crew are added to the quote.
Can we meet you before booking?
Please do. Photography is personal, and you should like the person who will be standing three feet away from you all day.
Do we get the raw files?
You receive the full set of edited photographs. Unedited raw files are not part of standard coverage — ask us if you have a specific reason to need them and we will tell you what is possible.
How many people will be at our wedding from your team?
It depends on the coverage you book. A one-day wedding with photo and film typically runs a candid photographer, a traditional photographer and a films crew. The number is written into your booking before you pay.
